New Competency to Embrace. Not

I never knew about the core competency named “prioritize work over private life”. What kind of competency is that?

What is relevancy between willingness to put privacy behind work-life? I believe everyone deserves privacy. You should not let work take your family left behind. Moreover the company I talk about doesn’t pay much. Ouch! I mean it.
